– KARACHI: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa U19 cricket team won the U19 Pentangular’s Cup, defeating Punjab U19 in the final played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.


  • Six players selected through the Peshawar Zalmi talent hunt program were part of the winning team.
  • Captain of the team, Mohammad Arif, and bowlers Azam Khan and Arshad Iqbal played significant roles in taking their team to victory in the final encounter.
  • Chasing 149 runs, the U19 Punjab team could only manage to score 133 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.
  • The two scouted players from the Zalmo talent hunt program, Azam Khan and Arshad Iqbal, took two wickets each for the U19 team.
  • Chairman Peshawar Zalmi, Javed Afridi, expressed his delight after the U19 team won the U19 Pentangular’s Cup.
