NY Daily News – Two crooks beat a man with a cricket bat while robbing him in Queens, police said Saturday.


  • Robberies across the city have decreased this year through Nov.
  • Reported assaults have dropped this year through the same period, with 17,276 compared to 18,014 in 2016.
  • Woodside’s 108th Precinct recorded 4% less robberies this year but saw a 9% increase in felony assaults.
  • The precinct, which also covers Long Island City and Sunnyside, investigated 86 robberies through Nov.
  • There have been 130 reports of felony assaults in the precinct this year compared to 119 by the same date in 2016.
