Summary

  • Virat Kohli apologised to the fans of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), days after the team crashed out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 11, failing to make it to the play-offs for the second year in a row.
  • RCB had a largely disappointing season where they finished sixth with 12 points and despite having a sort of resurgence by the end of the league stage, too much dependence on Kohli and AB de Villiers meant they failed to make it through.
  • Just wanted to put out this video for all the RCB fans and people involved with RCB in any way, telling them that we could not pull out great this season and we’re not very proud of how the season went for us.
  • While AB de Villiers shone bright once again with 480 runs from 12 matches, including six fifties and the famous ‘Spiderman’ catch, Kohli also had a good season with the bat scoring 530 runs in 14 games, including four fifties.
  • Kohli thanked the RCB fans for sticking by the team and supporting them so graciously through thick and thin and promised to not disappoint them next season.
