A SUPERB bowling performance put the Northern District Rangers above Sydney’s first grade cricket premiers Parramatta after the opening day of their match at Mark Taylor Oval, Waitara, on Saturday.

  • A well made 79 from opener Zac Jelbart lifted the Rangers to a total of 237 in the fourth grade match at Merrylands Park, with Parramatta to be 0/33 at stumps after 16 overs.
  • Finally, Parramatta were bowled out by the Rangers for 270 in the fifth grade match at Storey Park, Hornsby, with Northern District losing a late wicket to be 1/14 at the end of the day.
